Planned Roadworks In Yorkshire And The Humber – Summary For Monday 2 To Sunday 8 December

The following summary of planned new and ongoing road improvements over the coming week is correct as of Friday 29 November and could be subject to change due to weather conditions or unforeseen circumstances.

M621 junction 7 Stourton

Work has begun to widen the M621 in Leeds, marking the first phase of improvements on the route. An extra lane is being created at junction 7 by widening the slip road which takes vehicles travelling southbound onto the roundabout. The northern part of the roundabout is also being widened – increasing the number of lanes from two to four.

The initial work at junction 7 will require occasional overnight closures to make changes to the roadworks layout. This will take place overnight and require closures on the M621 which will be signposted in advance. During the day there will be lane closures on the southbound exit slip road and part of the roundabout, with a reduced speed limit in place.

The anti-clockwise exit slip road will be fully closed overnight for five nights from Monday 2 December for local authority work. The closure runs from 8pm to 6am, and drivers can use clearly signed diversions.
