Award-winning Raisthorpe Distillery has the perfect cocktails to mark International Vodka Day this Friday, 4 October.

Choose from its Toffee Cobbler and Blood Orange Daiquiri drinks, produced in partnership with The Star Inn The City restaurant in York.

The Toffee Cobbler is made with Raisthorpe’s 9ct Shimmering Toffee Caramel Vodka Liqueur to create a colourful and sparkling cocktail.

The Blood Orange Daiquiri features the distillery’s 9ct Shimmering Blood Orange Vodka Liqueur mixed with white rum.

Raisthorpe – based at Thixendale in the Yorkshire Wolds – has won several awards for its artisan produced drinks.

Made with real edible gold leaf, the 9ct Shimmering Toffee Caramel Vodka Liqueur has a Gold Star Great Taste Award.

At this year’s Great Taste Awards, Raisthorpe won two 2-star awards for its Rose and Sloe Gins. Its Raspberry Gin Liqueur won a 1-star award and its recently launched Pink Grapefruit Yorkshire Tonic was awarded two stars.

Toffee Cobbler - Serves 1

Ingredients:


25ml Toffee Liqueur
25ml Cognac
10ml Lemon Juice
12.5ml Spiced Apple Tea Syrup
50ml Apple Juice
Top Soda if required

Add all the ingredients to a cocktail shaker and shake well.

Serve in a Collins glass (tall tumbler) with your choice of decoration – a red apple slice and mint sprig or a slice of lemon and green apple.

Blood Orange Daiquiri - Serves 1

Ingredients:


25ml White Rum
25ml Blood Orange Liqueur
1 Whole Lime (squeezed)

Add all the ingredients to a cocktail shaker and shake well.

Serve in a coupette (saucer shaped) glass and garnish with an orange twist.
