Imtiaz Dharker and Andrew McMillan
One of the UK’s most renowned poetry festivals is set to hit Sheffield this weekend.

Sheaf Poetry Festival will welcome some of the leading lights of the current poetry scene to various locations in the city, many of which are a part of Sheffield Hallam University’s campus. In an eclectic event of readings, performances and workshops, and amongst a host of established poetic luminaries, the weekend’s programme will include award-winning poets Imtiaz Dharker, Andrew McMillan, Denise Riley and Raymond Antrobus.

The following week will feature a range of evening events, including a special night with ‘Wordlife’ at Abbeydale Picture House on Tuesday 21st May. The festival draws to a close on Friday the 25th May with a Longbarrow Press Poetry Walk and a poetry film night.
