Slingsby Gin Collaborates With Great British Chef Ollie Dabbous

Slingsby Gin (, the award-winning Yorkshire gin brand inspired by its spa-town heritage and enjoyed around the world, has collaborated with great British chef Ollie Dabbous to create a bespoke gin serve for his residence at Royal Ascot next week.

Ollie Dabbous, who The Guardian called ‘one of the most wanted chefs in Britain’, exploded onto the London food scene with his eponymous restaurant in 2012. Today he is at the helm of Hide in Piccadilly, one of the most ambitious culinary projects the city has ever seen.

In the lead up to Royal Ascot, Michelin Star Chef Ollie visited the Spirit of Harrogate headquarters in North Yorkshire to create his own bespoke Slingsby gin serve, which he will be serving to guests at his brand new, trackside Royal Enclosure restaurant ‘Sandringham’ this year at Royal Ascot.

During his visit to Slingsby, Ollie carefully hand-selected local botanicals and fruits from Rudding Park Hotel kitchen garden, to include in his bespoke Slingsby gin serve and worked with Head Mixologist Alex Hanson through the distillation process to find his preferred style and create the perfect bespoke gin for Royal Ascot, which is designed to pair perfectly with his menu.

Ollie Dabbous, Great British Chef says:
“Working with a like-minded British brand like Slingsby is a total pleasure. I really enjoyed the Master Distillers experience and the botanicals in the bespoke gin serve I have created pairs perfectly with the Sandringham menu for Royal Ascot. I am really looking forward to seeing how the guests respond to it and I hope they enjoy it as much as I do.”

As the official gin supplier to Ascot, Slingsby Gin will have exclusive pouring rights across the racecourse during Royal Ascot, which is held in June. Slingsby Gin will have exposure through exclusive branding and activations, branded bars for the season and inclusion in event coverage which is broadcast in almost 200 territories around the world.
