Summer Cocktails To Enjoy

Summer is here and so now is the time to enjoy some of these wonderful gin inspired cocktails created by Slingsby Gin (
www.spiritofharrogate.co.uk), the award-winning Yorkshire gin brand inspired by its spa-town heritage and enjoyed around the world, have a range of gins which are crafted using locally sourced botanicals, water drawn from the world-famous Harrogate aquifer, pure single grain spirit and a handful of the finest ingredients sourced from around the world.
Slingsby has created a series of summer cocktail recipes which include: Rhubarb & Amaretto Daisy, Hemingway Spritz, Marmacolada, Cheeky William, Frozen Gin Paloma, Tomato & Basil Spritz and a Salty Dog.
Rhubarb & Amaretto Daisy
Ingredients
30ml Slingsby Rhubarb Gin
30ml Amaretto
15ml Lime Juice
5ml Grenadine
Method
Shake and strain into a Sling glass with crushed ice.
Garnish with a candied strawberry or crumbled dehydrated strawberries.
Hemingway Spritz
Ingredients
50ml Slingsby Gooseberry Gin
20ml Pink Grapefruit Juice
10ml Lime Juice
10ml Maraschino Liqueur
5ml Sugar Syrup
50ml Mediterranean Tonic
Method
Shake and strain into a highball glass with crushed ice.
Top with the Mediterranean tonic and Grapefruit twist garnish.
Marmacolada
Ingredients
50ml Slingsby Marmalade Gin
100ml Pineapple Juice
20ml Coconut Cream
10ml Sugar Syrup
Method
Shake with crushed ice then dirty poured into a Hurricane glass.
Garnish with an orange wedge.
Cheeky William
Ingredients
30ml Slingsby Blackberry Gin
50ml Port
Top with Raspberry Lemonade
Method
Build in a highball glass with cubed ice.
Garnish with a fresh raspberry and blackberry.
Frozen Gin Paloma
Ingredients
40ml Slingsby Old Tom Gin or London Dry
30ml Pink Grapefruit Juice
10ml Mezcal (or Tequila)
15ml Agave Syrup
10ml Lime Juice
Method
Blend with crushed ice before pouring into a Margarita glass.
Garnish with a grapefruit slice.
Salty Dog
Ingredients
50ml Slingsby Navy Strength Gin
100ml Pink Grapefruit Juice
100ml Soda
Method
Build over cubed ice in a salt rimmed highball slice.
Garnish with a grapefruit slice.
Tomato & Basil Spritz
Ingredients
25ml Slingsby London Dry Gin
10ml Dry White Vermouth
100ml Mediterranean Tonic
50ml Prosecco Top
3 Sliced Cherry Tomatoes
6 Basil Leaves
Method:
Simply build in a large wine glass with ice.
