Costa Rica – recently revealed as one of Lonely Planet’s top destinations for 2020 - is one of the most bio-diverse countries on earth. Hot on the heels of the UN crowning the region with its highest environmental honour, “Champion of the Earth”, this new 11-day Mystic Jungle tour explores many of its national parks. Highlights include a fascinating ‘ant tour’ in Sarapiqui to learn more about the life of this leaf cutting insect; a tour of Caño Negro, home to alligators, kingfishers and rare plants; and Rio Celeste, famed for its waterfall and brilliant blue waters. The final stage of the trip ends on an adrenalin high in Rincon de la Vieja, with zip lines and rock climbing in the canyons followed by volcanic hot springs.

The launch of Virgin Atlantic’s new direct service from Heathrow to Sao Paulo in March 2020 will create the shortest route with a scheduled carrier between the UK and the Falklands.

Hayes & Jarvis’ extended expedition allows travellers to experience the breath-taking landscapes of The Falklands with unprecedented wildlife viewing opportunities and adventures including mountaineering, sea kayaking, stand up paddle boarding and cross-country skiing.

Tour priced from £20,999 per person including accommodation, international flights, transfers and excursions as specified.

ASIA
THE HIMALAYAN KINGDOM OF BHUTAN TOUR x 11 Days

Topping Lonely Planet’s list of top places to visit in 2020, Bhutan is a nation of untouched nature where ancient traditions remain a way of life. And in 2020 it will become the world’s first fully organic nation.

Hayes & Jarvis’ 11 day Himalayan Kingdom of Bhutan tour invites travellers to experience Bhutan’s most magical monasteries, temples and stupas, and get a unique insight into the Kingdom’s intriguing way of life.

Bhutan only allows a certain number of tourists in to explore, carefully preserving its heritage, ancient traditions and tree-covered land. Discover Thimphu’s Memorial Chorten and see the stunning vista of Thimphu Valley at Buddha Point. Pass through the awe-inspiring Himalayas and spend some time in Bhutan’s former capital of Punakha, before heading west to visit the stunning cliffside site of Bhutan’s most famous monastery, Taktsang Monastery.
