The Dave Clark Five - All The Hits (BMG)

With the thinking being that anyone under 40 never buys CD's these days, preferring to stream instead, the record companies seem to relish in releasing compilations that appeal to an older audience.

The Dave Clark Five are the latest act to have their hits put onto a compilation. The group sold over 100 million records in the sixties and were the first British act to have their own private plane, amusingly titled "DC5" in bold lettering on its nose and tail.

All the hits are here such as Do You Love Me, Glad All Over and Bits and Pieces. A lot of the tracks do sound like part of that era that was the swinging Sixties. There is a Rock 'n' Roll medley too that features Sweet Little Sixteen, Long Tall Sally and Blue Suede Shoes amongst others.

With 28 tracks included it is good value - Catch It If You Can!

I rate the album 3 out of 5
