The Hills Are Alive – Sound of Music Cruise!

Scenic Luxury Cruises and Tours are to stage a performance of The Sound of Music on an Austrian hillside as part of its range of ‘luxury experiences’.

It is just one of a host of unique Scenic Enrich experiences being offered by the luxury river cruise specialist to complement its comprehensive range of European sailings.

The exclusive performance sill take place in the countryside outside of Salzburg, where much of the Oscar-winning Julie Andrews movie was filmed, and includes all of its hit songs along with a traditional Austrian lunch.

Prices for the Jewels of Europe itineraries start from £3,945 per person departing from 30 March 2020, including flights, transfers, gratuities, exceptional wining and dining experiences, a personal butler and a variety of shore excursions.

Meanwhile, fans of classical and choral music can indulge their passion with concerts giving rare behind-the-scenes access to spectacular venues.

Options include the chance to enjoy an acapella choir performance inside Fontainebleau Castle’s Trinity Chapel. The 17th century chapel is renowned as one of the world’s most ornate Baroque buildings, featuring an interior decadently covered in Carrera marble.

Alternatively, guests can enjoy closed-door access to the 14th century Pope’s Palace in Avignon for a gala dinner and evening classical performance of Mozart, Vivaldi and Bach.

Prices for the South of France itineraries start from £3,600 per person departing from 10 May 2020, including flights, transfers, gratuities, exceptional wining and dining experiences, a personal butler and a variety of shore excursions.
