The Ivy Restaurant Donates Meals To Yorkshire Ambulance Service Staff

The Caring Foundation will be adding to its regional outreach and support by donating and delivering meals to Yorkshire Ambulance Service staff throughout the county.

Uniting Richard Caring’s hospitality brands in Yorkshire including The Ivy Victoria Quarter, The Ivy Harrogate, The Ivy St Helen’s Square and Bill’s Restaurant & Bar in Leeds, company volunteers will be preparing 2,000 meals a week for the Ambulance Service.

The Caring Foundation is a privately run, family foundation created in January 2020 by Richard and Patricia Caring. Richard Caring owns and operates multiple businesses in the hospitality sector, including The Ivy Collection.

The foundation have brought together teams from across his hospitality network to deliver a selection of meal options to NHS workers and vulnerable communities. This initiative forms part of The Caring Foundation’s commitment to offer over 50,000 meals a week through various hospitals and charity food partnerships in London and to critically vulnerable communities across the whole country including Cardiff, Manchester, Birmingham, Dublin, Yorkshire, Edinburgh, Glasgow and Brighton.

Stephen Segasby, Deputy Director of Operations at Yorkshire Ambulance Service NHS Trust, said:
“We would like to pass on our sincere thanks to The Caring Foundation for their very generous donation of meals to our frontline staff who are working tirelessly to care for patients during the current pandemic. This support is much appreciated and makes a positive difference in challenging circumstances.”
