Over the last few years we have seen guests opt for low and no alcohol options when celebrating or dining with friends and family. This might look like choosing a 0% alcohol ‘spirit’ in their mocktail or going for a fruit-based one - both options have all the theatre that comes with cocktail-making but none of the alcohol!

I think there are numerous reasons for the increase in popularity of mocktails. There are obvious practical reasons for choosing to lessen alcohol consumption, such as being the designated driver or not wanting to endure a sore head the next day, but I also think as a society we are more health conscious than ever, so people are choosing to reduce their alcohol intake and opting for something different.

We are lucky to have a vast range of options when it comes to low and no-alcohol drinks, making the taste and complexity of mocktails equally as exciting as cocktails!
