Elsa doesn’t know why she’s never quite fit in. Perhaps it’s just the way she’s made? She’s quirky, kind, clever and funny, but school was always a nightmare, and romance was a mystery, until now…
When Elsa meets Carmen the real journey begins - to find out who she is, and why there’s an octopus living inside her head.
The play is set to tour nationwide, returning after a hugely successful premiere in 2023 – with Monkgate on the list for February 25.
The Guardian described the show as “fizzy, funny [and] heartfelt” and Stageside UK said it’s “one of those shows that everyone needs to see!”
Inspired by writer Allison Davies’ own diagnosis of autism,
Tiny Fragments of Beautiful Light explores the autistic experience through a female lens. It is one woman’s journey of self-discovery and a celebration of the joy that comes when we live as we truly are.
This show has been designed with the access needs of neurodiverse audiences in mind. Visitors will have the choice to experience the sound through headphones to control what and how sound is heard. Without headphones the sound will play at a relaxed level in the space.
