The University of Bradford has been honoured at the 18th annual Bionow Awards, which celebrates outstanding leaders and innovators within the North of England’s life sciences sector.
The ceremony, held in Cheshire, saw the University acknowledged along with leading medical technology companies and health organisations for their application of cutting edge technologies.
The University was awarded Project of the Year for its work on EfferShield, technology developed by its Centre for Pharmaceutical Engineering Science (CPES). The project involves a new approach to improving the stability of the effervescent formulations during their manufacturing and storage period.
Geoff Davison, CEO of Bionow, said: “The work undertaken by all our winners and nominees in the past year has been truly inspiring, and leaves me in doubt our sector is well placed to drive forward disruptive and pioneering products, treatments and developments that will vastly improve lives around the world.”
