WWE Returns To Leeds

 
The WWE returned to Leeds during their live tour event, held at the First Direct Arena on Saturday.

It is always a good crowd in the city for the event and they were treated by seeing the biggest names on the RAW brand of the company.

The action started with Becky Lynch defeating Sasha Banks to retain the Raw Women's Championship, one of the key matches of the evening starting the show ensured the fans were enthralled by the action.

R-Truth beats England's own Drake Maverick, this fun match involved a dance break, with a quick finish for the winner.

Cedric Alexander defeated Shelton Benjamin in a back and forth contest, with both teasing hitting their finishes, Alexander won thanks to a roll-up.

The loser demanded another challenge and was met with Street Profits answering the call, and defeating him in under ten seconds.

He then demanded one more opponent and it was Kevin Owens who simply stunned him, leaving him laying for the third time in a matter of moments.

AJ Styles and Braun Strowman were next up with the US title on the line, it quickly turned into a 6 man tag match, with the OC and Viking Raiders getting involved.

Rey Mysterio and Ricochet defeated Randy Orton and Drew McIntyre to close the first-half of the show.

The Kabushi Warriors against Nikki Cross and Sarah Logan for the women's tag team titles opened the 2nd half with the champions retaining.

Rusev beat Lashley via disqualification after Lana got involved.

Then it was time for the main event as the 'Fiend' defeated Seth Rollins for the WWE Universal Championship in a street fight.

The WWE are next back in Yorkshire in May 2020, where they will be in Sheffield in what is bound to be yet another popular and entertaining event for fans.

This hard hitting contest saw two tables and a sledgehammer used with the champion retaining after hitting his finisher.

So an enjoyable night of wrestling came to an end with the WWE heading back to Yorkshire in 2020.
