Winter Woollies…

Anyone else already in Christmas mode or is it just me?

I spend a lot of my time in the office or at one of my shops and we have the radio on and at the moment I keep hearing the count down for Christmas and it’s getting me in the festive spirit! Not only that, working in retail we have everything Christmas at the moment so it has got us in the spirit for it.

I’ve been watching Christmas movies after work and watched ‘The Polar Express’ last night - it’s one of my favourites and my mum’s too. I would love to sneak Alfie in to the house on a night but I’m not sure Mum would thank me for it…

With the clocks going back last month Alfie and the rest of the horses have got their winter coat. Alfie looks adorable as always, but he’s been eating a little too many carrots recently so he is a little bit chunky, but I’ve put him on a strict regime until Christmas – like myself as I keep eating mince pies!

Due to the nights now being darker I am trying to take Alfie for a walk during the morning before work, he loves going for a walk down the street especially at the moment due to the autumn leaves being scattered everywhere as he loves munching them as he wanders along.

Talking of Christmas I’ve ordered the last of the Christmas books, due to it being a busy time of the year for publishers we have to get our Christmas orders in early. I’m going to be making some Christmas boxes this year – hopefully Alfie will help me wrap the ribbon around the top of them.

I’ve also been working on my next book which probably won’t be released now until 2020 as there has been lots going on and there just isn’t enough hours in the day. Being an author I don’t like rushing my books as I prefer to take my time so I capture the characters and story just right.

Today Alfie is inside his stable with Pepper due to the weather being a little bit rainy, as you know Alfie doesn’t like rain!
