Yorkshire Tonics Boxed Up For Christmas

Award-winning Raisthorpe Distillery has launched its Yorkshire Tonics in a box set complete with a ‘gin wheel’ to help consumers pair them with their favourite spirit this Christmas.

Sales of Raisthorpe’s Yorkshire Tonics have exceeded expectations since being launched a year ago. Its Pink Grapefruit Yorkshire Tonic was awarded two Gold Stars at this year’s Great Taste Awards.

Based at Thixendale in the Yorkshire Wolds, Raisthorpe’s mixers are blended using quassia rather than quinine to deliver a slightly less bitter flavour.

Quassia comes from the shrub Quassia Amara and as an extract is used as a flavouring substitute to quinine.

The Yorkshire Tonics box set is embossed with beautiful Yorkshire scenery and features 200ml bottles of Skinny Premium, Citrus, Strawberry & Pomegranate and Apple & Elderflower tonics, priced £8.99.

Customer demand for larger bottles has seen Raisthorpe recently add a 500ml version to its original 200ml bottles which includes its Pink Grapefruit and a Premium tonic.

Raisthorpe was established more than 10 years ago. The company produces a range of gin and gin liqueurs as well as vodkas, whiskies and ports – all perfect presents for Christmas.
