Yorkshire Wolds Family Business Shortlisted In Regional Food And Drink Awards
The team at an East Yorkshire brewery is celebrating after reaching the final in of an awards scheme that celebrates Yorkshire's outstanding food and drink businesses.
Wold Newton based Wold Top has been shortlisted in the Producer of the Year category in the fourth annual Garbutt & Elliott Food and Drink Business Awards.
Wold Top director, Alex Balchin is delighted to be shortlisted:
"This great news comes on the back of a challenging 18 months and is very welcome - a real boost for the team.
"We can't wait to see our fellow finalists for a long overdue catch up next month."
Wold Top has been shortlisted alongside fellow family businesses Soanes Poultry, Breckenholme, Warrendale Wagyu and Moss Valley Fine Meats. The winners will be announced at a ceremony at York Racecourse on 16th September.
The awards are organised by York and Leeds-based accountancy firm Garbutt + Elliott and recognise those entrepreneurs and businesses who have helped to create a thriving food and drink industry in Yorkshire.
Wold Top Brewery was founded by in 2003 and is located on the Mellor family farm at Hunmanby Grange. The team use home grown barley and water from the farm's borehole to produce a range of award winning cask, keg and bottled beers that are available throughout Yorkshire and nationwide.
