Yorkshire Wolds Rapeseed Oil Business Wins Regional Food Awards

The team at Thixendale-based rapeseed oil business Breckenholme is celebrating after two of its brands won awards at the 20th annual Deliciously Yorkshire 2024 Taste Awards.

Charlie & Ivy's Honey & Mustard Dressing won the Best Pantry Product Category and Yorkshire Rapeseed Oil's natural oil was named as the winner of the Best Sustainable Product award.

The Taste Awards celebrate Yorkshire's amazing food and drink businesses. We're proud to be amongst the winners, particularly for the new Sustainable Product award, and enjoyed a fabulous night organised by Deliciously Yorkshire.
Breckenholme's marketing manager, Jennie Palmer

Head Judge, BBC Broadcaster and artisan food expert Nigel Barden said:
"Each year, Yorkshire food and drink businesses out-do themselves with the quality of entries, and it was no exception in our 20th year of holding these awards. It's a real pleasure to see Yorkshire businesses continuing to innovate and create the most delicious products."

The winners were announced at a sellout dinner at the Pavilions of Harrogate on Wednesday, 6th November, when Mr Barden and chef consultant, Steph Moon hosted an evening of champagne, local food and celebration.

Breckenholme, a 300 acre arable enterprise, is home to rapeseed oil businesses Yorkshire Rapeseed Oil and Charlie & Ivy's, which produce a range of cold pressed rapeseed oil based products that are sold in farm shops, delis and specialist independent retailers nationwide.
