Album Review: Scouting For Girls - Still Thinking About You

Scouting For Girls return with their first set of new songs since 2012. If you liked the band in the past then you will enjoy this new album. They have a recognisable sound and the first two tracks on the album, Life's Too Short and Still Thinking About You are typical of the band, with the lyric on the latter track having the line "one year on, I'll be thinking about you, ten years on the same will be true, even when I'm 72 I'll be thinking about you"

Things get a little slower on Castles though on the track Black and Blue the band take some inspiration from The Waterboys with lead singer Roy Stride giving an emotional vocal.

There is even a Christmas song as the album closes with Christmas in the Air Tonight. This album would make a good Christmas gift for any fan of the group. The band say that they tried to make the ultimate Scouting For Girls album, I think they may have succeeded.

Great to have then back.
