Alexander's Skipton Celebrates First Anniversary With Tropical White Party

A few years ago you might have thought that the idea of opening a stylish restaurant and bar in Skipton in a former outdoor clothing shop was a wild idea.

Situated at the top of the High Street in Skipton, Alexander's celebrated its first year in operation at the end of July with a Tropical White Party. The first year has seen them welcoming guests from all over Yorkshire and beyond to enjoy European inspired cuisine, an extensive drinks menu and signature cocktails.

Highlights have included Gin and Jazz nights, Grand Tour Supper Clubs as well as the Christmas Off-Piste Alpine winter pop up restaurant.

The first year anniversary party was inspired by the best of the Balearics - which meant Wall to Wall White. The terrace and Secret Garden were transformed into a venue that looked like it belonged more in San Antonio rather than Skipton. The dress code was white with the majority of guests adhering to the code.

A three course BBQ menu was served including such delicacies as Yorkshire Feta "Fettle", Olive and Watermelon Skewers, Mojo Chicken Kebabs, Chargrilled Monkfish Medallions and sweets such as Coconut Gelato Cones and Mini Eaton Mess was served.

Naturally there was a huge birthday cake too.

International DJ Luke Pompey spun some classy dance tracks that brought to mind the best of the Hed Kandi parties whilst there was also a live saxophonist. An added attraction was 2 stilt walkers and fire performers.

Fortunately the weather decided to join in the celebrations too.

A Yorkshire success story that was celebrated in fine style, here's to the next successful year.
