Cirque Du Soleil Brings Ovo To Sheffield And Leeds

Cirque du Soleil are bringing their new production, Ovo to Yorkshire.

Ovo, meaning egg in Portuguese, is the story of when a mysterious egg arrives into a colourful ecosystem teeming with life. The insects are curious about the egg and what it represents. It is love at first sight when a gawky quirky insect arrives in this bustling community and a fabulous ladybird catches his eye - and the feeling is mutual.

The cast of a Ovo is comprised of 50 artists from 17 countries specialised in acrobatics. Included in this is Alanna Baker from the UK who plays the role of the Black Spider in the show. She was crowned gymnastics European Champion in 2011 and won Bronze in the World Championships in 2012.

From my experience these shows are always colourful and breathtaking and can be appreciated from aged 8 to 80.

Ovo will visit Sheffield Fly DSA Arena from 22 August to 26 August

Leeds First Direct Arena from 19 September to 23 September

Tickets are available from: www.livenation.co.uk
