Nova Scotia’s TD Halifax Jazz Festival Line-up Announced
The largest summer festival in Atlantic Canada is set to take place in Nova Scotia’s provincial capital Halifax 10 - 15 July. The 32nd edition of The TD Halifax Jazz Festival will include some 350 local musicians as well acclaimed national and international artists, spanning not just Jazz but also roots, blues, Latin music and R&B.

The headline acts have just been announced with Chaka Khan, Alvvays, Matt Andersen & the Mellotones and Whitehorse amongst those set to perform. The all-star line-up follows hot on the heels of the likes of Lauryn Hill and Chic, who have graced the TD Halifax Jazz Festival in recent years. The event, which is must for holidaymakers visiting during the period, is the oldest jazz festival in the region – run by nearly 500 volunteers across 18 eclectic stages.

This year, the main event venues will be the fashionable Halifax waterfront, St. Matthew’s Church and the Carleton, which is one of the oldest buildings in the city dating back to 1760. All the venues are in and around downtown, making them easily accessible for the 55,000 revellers that are expected to attend.

Halifax is the provincial capital of Nova Scotia and is the first port of call for most Brits arriving to the region by air. Home to nearly half a million people, the city is steeped in history and culture while boasting world-class visitor attractions, superb dining and a range of accommodation to suit all tastes and budgets. Halifax is also a mecca for the arts, with an impressive year round events calendar spanning gigs, concerts, exhibitions and festivals.
