Reggie 'N' Bollie

Reggie 'N' Bollie were fan favourites on the X Factor in 2015. Since then they have maintained a public profile through a series of singles and live performances. Earlier this year they established their own record label after splitting with Syco, and are now ready to release summer anthem Bumaye.

We caught up with them to find out what songs make them...

SMILE:

Bollie:The song that makes me smile is SWEAT by Inner Circle. It was one of my favourite song when I was a little boy and every time I hear it puts me in good spirits.

Reggie: The song that makes me smile is PSY's Gangnam Style. Apart from the whole song and video being funny, anytime I hear it, I wonder how a song nobody could understand the language apart from his country people could connect with so many and become a worldwide hit.

CONTEMPLATE:

Bollie: The songs that leaves me contemplating is THE GREATEST by Sia. it's a very powerful song with a powerful message.

Reggie: The song that leaves me contemplating is Gotye's SOMEBODY THAT I USED TO KNOW. The video made me fall in love with the song. It gave it a deeper meaning.

CRY:

Bollie: I don't really have a song that makes me want to cry but that one that I remember got me emotional when I was little was MY HEART WILL GO ON by Celine Dion.

Reggie: The song that makes me want to cry is THANK YOU MAMA by Sizzla Kalonji. It brings me memories of all the struggles that me and my mum went through many years ago and it makes me very grateful for having a mum like mine.

LAUGH:

Bollie: The song that makes me wanna laugh is BECAUSE I GOT HIGH by Afroman. Literally everything about that song makes me wanna laugh from lyrics to how it was sung ,video etc

Reggie: The song that makes me laugh uncontrollably is Papa San's MADY MADY CRY. The Jamaican singer sings the song whiles crying and makes hilarious sounds. You need to listen to it to understand.

WANT TO WORK OUT:

Bollie: The song that makes me wanna work out is STRONGER by Kanye West. There is something about the production of that literally that gives me energy.

Reggie: The song that makes me want to work out is Stormzy's WHERE DO YOU KNOW ME FROM. Just the beat is enough to get me going in the gym.

REMINISCE:

Bollie: The song that leaves me reminiscing is I LIKE TO MOVE IT by Reel to Reel. I won dancing competition with that song back when I was young and anytime I hear it reminds me of how I was hailed that day by my friends and the whole experience. It was such a good feeling.

Reggie: The song that leaves me reminiscing is ED RED WINE by UB40. It reminds me of growing up in Ghana in the late 80's and early 90's with my cousins and friends as young boys.

RELAX:

Bollie: The song that makes me want to relax is Bob Marley's titled I WANNA LOVE YOU. That song just makes me want to stop everything I'm doing and just chill .

Reggie: The song that makes me relax is Lewis Capaldi's BRUISES. I recently discovered this song and it just puts me in a very calm mood. It's the only song that I can play the whole day and not get tired of.

FEEL DETERMINED:

Bollie: The songs that leaves me determined is DYNAMITE by Taio Cruz. The song has an uplifting vibe to it and it gets me feeling energised .

Reggie:The song that boosts my determination when the going gets tough is I WON'T GIVE UP by Jason Mraz. It always keeps my hopes and determination alive.

DANCE:

Bollie: DESPACITO by Luis Fonsi puts me in a dance mood any time. I love the reggaeton vibe of that song.

Reggie: The song that puts me in a dance mood is Jennifer Lopez's ON THE FLOOR. It's my all time favourite dance song.
