A Beautiful Place To Take It Easy - Norton Grounds Launches It's Wellness Wednesday's Programme
Norton Grounds is a stunning 120-acre working farm estate and equestrian centre in the heart of the Cotswolds, blending centuries-old heritage with modern comfort, featuring 2 beautiful event barns, an all-weather tipi, the farmhouse family home, and 4 luxury self-catering holiday cottages, sleeping up to 20 guests, surrounded by stunning gardens, rolling arable farmland, ponds full of wildlife, and peacefully grazing horses.
Owners Clare and Andy Valender have graciously opened the doors to their home since 2020 to a regular wedding and private event clientele, who have enjoyed the sublime facilities, located within an area of outstanding natural beauty in the North Cotswolds, situated between Stratford Upon Avon and Chipping Campden.
Norton Grounds is the perfect destination for a tranquil rural escape, surrounded by nature, in lovingly cared-for spaces designed with Cotswold Country style by two welcoming hosts who have a refreshingly down-to-earth approach to high-end hospitality.
From October 7th, Clare and Andy, assisted by local Festival PR and former Yoga Holiday organiser Sacha Taylor-Cox will launch Norton Grounding, a programme of wellness experiences open to the public every Wednesday, along with regular retreats, social happenings and workshops throughout the year.
The ethos for Norton Grounding is to bring yoga, Pilates and the pursuit of wellness in the Cotswolds back to its origins. Conscious, restorative, considered movement that's gentle, low impact, and focused on relaxation, letting go of ego and the need to compete. A return to the foundations of yogic lifestyle principles, where the focus is on releasing stress and tension from within, slowing down, embracing oneself and in the spirit of everything, being about balance – not forgetting to have some fun in the process!
Weekly experiences include Gentle Flow, Restorative and Yin Yoga, Sound Healing, Somatic Movement, Feldenkrais Method, Meditative Art Workshops, Holistic non-sequence mat Pilates, Yoga Nidra, Nutrition Talks, Sleep Retreats and soon to launch, Breakfast Bounce – a pre-work, morning coffee ‘rave’ with live DJ.
The venue has also partnered with The Steamy Pheasant, which has provided a wood sauna and mobile Defender plunge pool with 50-minute sessions open to guests and non-residents all day on Wednesdays and holiday cottage residents during the week.

There’s a chalk painting workshop with Annie Sloan (www.anniesloan.com) on November 18th, Festive brunch and supper clubs, and it’s one of the rare places to find Feldenkrais Method a self-massage technique that opens the pelvis, loosens the hips, free’s the spine and taps into your own energy to heal. The workshops and classes take place in the Threshing Barn, Cowshed, or Tipi.
The first Norton Grounding residential retreat will take place January 2nd to 6th 2027.
