Beal Homes has commenced infrastructure works on a 52-acre site in Hull, marking the start of a £120m residential development that will further expand the popular Kingswood community.

The East Yorkshire-based housebuilder has moved on-site to begin the construction of roads and sewage systems for the project, named King’s Crescent. Located west of Richmond Way, the development is slated to deliver 450 homes across two phases, continuing Beal’s 30-year history of investment in the area.

The first phase, which has secured full planning permission, consists of 214 two, three, and four-bedroom properties. Andy Devine, Construction Director, said: “Local residents can expect to see our experienced construction teams carrying out infrastructure works... before the first homes begin to rise from the ground.”

Beyond housing, the scheme includes significant environmental and social investment. Beal is providing a large managed country park with over 800 trees and a financial contribution to create 99 new primary school places.

Crucially for regional flood resilience, the firm is also funding a £2m project to strengthen the River Hull embankment. This work is designed to safeguard the wider Kingswood neighbourhood, which currently comprises more than 3,500 homes and various retail units.

Ross Clarkson, Sales and Marketing Director, added: “We’ve been part of the Kingswood community for more than three decades, so we’re excited to begin the latest chapter of our story.”

The first plots are expected to be released for sale by late summer.
