It’s hard to believe that the usually raucous resort of Benidorm - renowned for attracting millions of visitors in normal times - was a sleepy fishing village back in the 1960s.

Boasting one of the healthiest climates in Europe, Benidorm is often referred to as the Dubai of the Mediterranean due to the hundreds of towering buildings which dominate its skyline.
