Castings Technology is making its debut at the Farnborough International Airshow to showcase its expanding manufacturing capabilities to the global aerospace industry.

The company, which is developing one of the world's largest titanium foundries in South Yorkshire, produces mission-critical components for top aircraft programmes. Its titanium castings are renowned for exceptional strength-to-weight ratio and resistance to corrosion and heat.

Castings Technology is being represented at Farnborough by managing director Richard Cook, chief commercial officer Shaun Smith and commercial lead Dave Leary.

They will meet representatives from leading aerospace companies and share details of the company's £18m investment in its new Sheffield site, which will secure critical elements of the supply chain for titanium castings in Europe and beyond.

More than 100,000 visitors, along with thousands of exhibitors and delegations from the civil and defence aerospace industry, are expected to attend this year's show. The last edition, in 2024, saw more than $105 billion in aircraft and engine orders announced over the week.

Castings Technology's new 196,000 sq ft facility includes one of the world’s largest vacuum arc remelting furnaces, complemented by a similarly large vacuum heat treatment furnace.
