Amelia Flanagan
Actress Amelia Flanagan, best known for her role as April Windsor in Emmerdale, has become a charity ambassador for Forget Me Not Children's Hospice. Winner of Best Young Performer at the 2025 British Soap Awards, Amelia will help shine a light on the work of the children’s hospice, supporting fundraising campaigns and helping the charity to reach new audiences.
Born in Leeds, and raised in Halifax, Amelia, 18, visited the charity’s purpose-built children’s hospice Russell House in April 2026, seeing and hearing about the work Forget Me Not does, both within local communities and across the region as a whole.
Amelia joins a select group of highly valued supporters of the charity, including fellow actors Doctor Who star Jodie Whittaker and Happy Valley’s Rhys Connah; Paralympic gold medallist Hannah Cockroft; goalkeeping penalty-saving expert Mark Crossley, Rugby League legends Eorl Crabtree and Michael Lawrence; and BTCC driver Dan Lloyd.
Amelia said: "I'm really excited to become an ambassador for Forget Me Not Children's Hospice. The work they do is so important and I am looking forward to helping them spread awareness of the specialist care they provide for children and families in West Yorkshire."
