BDCU (formerly Bradford District Credit Union) has secured four industry accolades at two regional awards ceremonies, recognising its leadership, operational growth, and apprentice investment.

At the Yorkshire Financial Awards in Leeds, BDCU was named Small Financial Business of the Year, while Ian Goodliffe received the Director of the Year award. The judging panel cited the credit union's growth against strategic objectives, alongside Mr Goodliffe's leadership within the regional financial sector.

Further success followed at the West Yorkshire Apprenticeship Awards, where the organisation was named SME Employer of the Year. At the same event, BDCU apprentice Ariba Matloob was named Advanced Apprentice of the Year.

The credit union, which provides ethical financial services across West Yorkshire, also sponsored the Professional Services Award category during the ceremony. The accolades follow a milestone for BDCU earlier this year, when its total loan book issued to members reached £5 million.
