HARIBO Joins Yorkshire Business Leaders For Martin House Partnerships Event
A panel of Yorkshire’s business leaders will join Martin House Children’s Hospice this month to talk about the benefits of charity partnerships.
The Power of Partnerships business breakfast takes place at the historic York Merchant Adventurers’ Hall on Thursday 23 April.
Panellists include HARIBO UK’s head of communications Tabea Powell, Ello Group chief operations officer Samantha Scott, Yorkshire Garden Centres’ managing director Mark Farnsworth and David Parkin, director of COPA Group, who is also hosting the event.
They will be joined by Amardeep Sirha, co-founder and head of data at technical consultancy firm amarti, whose son Simba was cared for by Martin House until his death last New Year’s Eve, aged just 18 months.
Victoria Coltman
This is not just a traditional networking event, but a chance to hear some of the region’s industry leaders discuss the practical business benefits of building a strategic partnership with Martin House, based on their experiences of working with us.
We are also honoured that Amardeep is sharing what Martin House means to her family, how the hospice cared for Simba throughout his life, and the difference that made to them.
Victoria Coltman, partnerships and trusts team manager at Martin House
Martin House provides specialist care to children and young people with life-shortening conditions, supporting around 500 families each year with planned short breaks, emergency and symptom management stays, as well as end of life and bereavement support.
Samantha Scott
Panellist Samantha Scott, whose firm Ello Group has partnered with Martin House since 2024, said: “It has been an incredible journey working with the team at Martin House. The support we've received has truly made this feel like a genuine partnership. Our teams have embraced the challenges, collaborated effectively, and had lots of fun along the way. We are proud to be part of making a difference.”
