Harrogate Home Cinema Name Revived - A Decade After Its Launch

A Harrogate audio visual company has revived its original name a decade after it first appeared above the door of its town centre showroom.

Harrogate Home Cinema was launched by partners Andy Wyatt and Peter Hudspeth in the summer of 2009 and, over two years, installed high-quality home cinema systems in scores of houses and apartments across the north of England.

As the pair increased their offering to include audio visual, smart lighting and control, and security installations, they dropped the Harrogate Home Cinema name in favour of AudioVogue, which they felt best reflected the growing business.

However, ten years down the line in which AudioVogue has opened “showrooms” within stores in Darlington and York, and a new head office training centre, display showroom and warehousing facility at Killinghall Business Park, Andy and Peter have decided to revive the Harrogate Home Cinema brand.

The original Harrogate town centre showroom, on Bower Road, has undergone a major overhaul with the installation of a new state-of-the-art subterranean home cinema featuring a host of smart technology features, furnished by interior design partner and near neighbours, Stephen Neall. And, importantly, the old name is back over the door!

AudioVogue co-director Andy Wyatt said: “When we launched Harrogate Home Cinema ten years ago the name said it all. That was our specialism and it very quickly became a recognised and trusted brand, not only in Harrogate but further afield too.

“Because we were increasingly working outside of the Harrogate District and adding to our services, we took the decision to change our company name to AudioVogue.

“Whilst this remains our primary brand, we felt the time was right to bring Harrogate Home Cinema back into play.”

AudioVogue co-director Peter Hudspeth said: “I’m delighted we have taken this step as the demand for home cinemas is again on the rise.

“Reviving the Harrogate Home Cinema name, together with rebranding our Harrogate town centre showroom, has already reaped rewards with enquiries for home cinema installations rising as a result.”
