June Is Built Different: Legoland® Discovery Centres Across The Globe Ignite A Month Of Play
It’s time to grab the bricks and start clicking! LEGOLAND® Discovery Centres Birmingham and Manchester are dialling up the excitement following World Play Day with a full month of hands-on building experiences, showing that the click of two bricks can open a world of playful, creative possibilities. World Play Day is the LEGO Group’s annual celebration of the UN’s International Day of Play - a day dedicated to celebrating and protecting children’s right to play.
From 1st to 28th June, guests at all 29 LEGOLAND Discovery Centre locations worldwide are invited to join the fun and show the world that their city will ‘Never Stop Playing’! From the moment they arrive guests can expect an energised, build-first atmosphere where the only limit is their imagination.
Children can hunt for unique LEGO® pieces, build boldly, and leave their mark on the 55,000-stud ‘Never Stop Playing’ wall — a growing mosaic-style masterpiece that evolves day by day as every child contributes to the bigger picture.
Families are invited to unleash their imaginations in the ‘Click Challenge’, where collaborative creativity takes over and imagination spreads fast. From epic vehicles to magical creatures and faraway planets, the creative possibilities are endless.
The ultimate play experts, Master Model Builders, will be on hand to help inspire young builders with tips, tricks, and creative guidance. They also invite children to step into ‘Playmaker Playback’, to share the stories behind their creations and put the spotlight on their imaginative builds.
Michelle Thompson, LEGOLAND Discovery Centre Birmingham’s Master Model Builder, said: “World Play Day is the perfect opportunity to remind families just how powerful play can be. At LEGOLAND Discovery Centre Birmingham and Manchester we invite every guest to step into a world built for imagination, pick up the bricks, and let their creativity take the lead. Whether you are building side by side at the table, adding your own piece to our ‘Never Stop Playing’ wall, or sharing the story behind your creation, you can help us show the world that our UK cities will never stop playing!”
World Play Day activity is included with standard admission to LEGOLAND Discovery Centre Birmingham and Manchester with prices starting at £12.
