Kylie - Step Back In Time - The Definitive Collection (BMG)
There has previously been a Kylie Minogue 'Greatest Hits' album. But this new 'Definitive Collection', spread over 2 CD's, is, apparently,
The Definitive Collection.
From
I Should Be So Lucky the album traces her musical career right up to a new track
New York City, released earlier this year. The Stock, Aitken and Waterman Hits gave her the springboard for success with hits such as
Step Back in Time,
Better The Devil You Know and
Hand On Your Heart.
Her indie period where she recorded
Where The Wild Roses Grow with Nick Cave and The Bad Seeds shows that her music was not just all about pop music. In fact
Dancing visits her country music phase.
Can't Get You Out Of My Head gave her a second coming and revitalised her career whilst
Slow showed her more seductive side.
For an artist to have over 20 years of success shows that you must be doing something right. In the fickle world of pop Kylie is still there at the top.
I give the album 4 stars out of 5.
