Leeds-based Software Solutions Provider Delivers Latest Applications To Automate Key Business Functions And Improve Efficiencies

Software solutions provider, Audacia, has completed the latest phase of development for market leading multi-utility provider, Aptus Utilities, with the roll out of new tablet applications to deliver a better service to customers, further growth and improve efficiencies.

The new tablet-based application has been built into Aptus Utilities’ existing bespoke ERP product suite, also created by Audacia, and is used by more than 220 colleagues across the UK.

The tailored technology has allowed Aptus Utilities to move away from paper-based processes and spreadsheets, providing a digital solution to improve workflows across its sites, regional depots and head office.

Integrating with the ERP platform, the tablet application has been specifically designed for colleagues working on-site with teams. It allows them to submit equipment and vehicle checks, access RAMS for their work, submit photos to evidence work completed, manage personal information and access other key business information. The automated process has significantly improved reporting, visibility and real-time collaboration across teams, saving time and mitigating risk.

The system has also provided improvements in stock movements from store locations to and from site. This will remove the manual, paper-based process previously used by operatives and managers to instruct stock picking and distribution.

Project lead at Audacia, Adam Brookes, said: “We’ve been working in partnership with Aptus Utilities since 2014, when we created a new tender management system. This new tablet application is the latest release in a continuous development project, which digitises processes for field operatives and allows for more accurate reporting and less admin time on-site. Our goal throughout is to further enhance the core platform, continually integrating new areas of the business and enabling Aptus Utilities to drive further improvements.”

Aptus Utilities Managing Director, Lisa Kerford, said: “As our company grew, we discovered that paper-intensive processes were adding unnecessary complexities to our operations and potentially creating barriers to our growth and development. We therefore turned to Audacia to provide a bespoke solution to meet our specific requirements.

“This technology has significantly sped up our internal processes and made real improvements in efficiencies, providing us with all of our business-critical information on one centralised, visible platform. The integrated tablet application also gives us complete, consistent and accurate data from our field operatives.

“Overall, these tailored solutions have allowed us to place greater emphasis on delivering an excellent service and growing the business even further.”
Founded in 2010, Audacia has offices in Leeds and central London and a proven track record of delivering robust and scalable bespoke software solutions that enable its customers to simplify complexity and increase efficiencies, making time and cost savings.
