Lytham Festival 2020 Cancelled

Lytham Festival is yet another event that has been cancelled due to the Coronavirus pandemic. Celebrating its 10th anniversary last year the event organisers promise to be back bigger than ever in 2021 and have even announced the dates. Here is their statement:

"It is with a heavy heart we announce, due to the current situation in the UK, the Lytham Festival 2020 will not take place this year.

"We did not want to take this step but it is unavoidable. The health and safety of our fans, artists, staff and community will always be our top priority.

"Over the past 10 years we have battled everything from mini-hurricanes to typhoon-like weather but always with good humour, a smile on our face and with great camaraderie, together. This time around, there is nothing more that we can do.

"We’re really proud to have created this wonderful festival, so personal to us both, in our hometown.

"It’s with this wonderful camaraderie and goodwill we will be back with Lytham Festival from the 30th June to 4th July 2021. If you have any ideas or suggestions, we want to hear from you!

"We are working with our ticketing partners at the moment and they will be in touch very soon to process your refund. Alternatively, if you prefer, you can retain your weekly tickets and carry over to next year’s festival.

"Please look out for an email from your ticketing agent very soon. Please only contact them if you have not been contacted by April 17th, as they are very busy at this time.

"We’re working hard to ensure the Lytham Proms event, in August, goes ahead at Lytham Hall. Please consider purchasing a ticket for this show to help support the venue.

"Announcements for Lytham Festival 2021 and ticket details will follow in due course.

We thank our wonderful audiences for the support over the last 10 years which has been unwavering. We will be back.

See you on ‘The Green’ in 21.

Peace, love, kindness and thanks."

Dan, Peter and all the Lytham Festival team.

The event was due to feature Lionel Richie, Little Mix, Snow Patrol and Lewis Capaldi
