Families supported by Martin House Children's Hospice and members of its Care team enjoyed a free evening of entertainment at the weekend, thanks to the donation of 100 tickets to Symphonic Ibiza in Harrogate.
The free tickets were offered by event organiser Freddy White, Director at Sound & White, during a visit to the hospice earlier this summer.
Freddy visited Martin House alongside his client,
Love Island star Alex Bowen, to help open a new teenage courtyard inspired by the show's iconic villa.
At Symphonic Ibiza, Martin House families and staff enjoyed an evening of live music, with artists including Heather Small and Rebecca Ferguson taking to the stage. Alex Bowen also performed a DJ set, before Vernon Kay stepped up to the decks.
The 100 donated tickets included several in wheelchair-accessible areas, enabling a number of young people supported by Martin House to attend the event at the Yorkshire Showground.
Nina Hoskin, Family Support Pathway Coordinator at Martin House, said: “We're incredibly grateful to Freddy at Sound & White for organising these free tickets. It was a really enjoyable evening, and all the families had a fantastic time."
“At Martin House, we strive to create special memories for the children and young people we support, and their families, and generosity like this allows us to keep doing so.”
Each year, Martin House supports more than 550 children and young people with life-shortening conditions, and their families, across West, North and East Yorkshire.
