Pioneering female sportswear brand, Maiden Cricket, is looking for brand ambassadors in Yorkshire after a hugely successful 2025.
The ambassadors will join Maiden Cricket in driving the future of women’s cricket and help to empower players at every level of the sport.
They will be a part of the Maiden Ambassador Programme which ‘champions female players who are passionate about promoting inclusiveness and growing girls’ cricket in schools, universities, clubs and counties across the UK and further afield.’
On the Maiden Ambassador Programme, Black said: “we’re excited to continue building our hugely successful Ambassador Programme by uniting like-minded cricket players, coaches and mentors who are passionate about promoting diversity and inclusivity, both on and off the cricket field. We can’t wait to hear from the inspirational voices that make female cricket what it is!”
Maiden Cricket was launched in 2024 by teenage sisters, Honor and Cat Black, with a focus on designing clothing for female cricketers which is ‘stylish, comfortable and functional’ and ‘complements the female body and moves freely with the player.’
It has since established itself as a brand known for ‘quality, inclusivity and performance’ and they have also launched their own fully customisable teamwear range and entered into exciting partnerships, including one with Cricket Wales.
On the role of Maiden Cricket within women’s sport, Black said: “we empower female players by offering kit and clothing that fits properly, performs well, and represents them. So many girls are put off taking part in sports because of the nature of the clothes they have to wear - that’s a huge talent pool our sport is missing out on, and we’re helping to turn the tables.”
Maiden encourages cricket players, coaches and mentors of all players to apply for the programme via their official website with those who apply joining the 180 ambassadors who are already on board with the company’s plans.
They also run a Rising Stars programme for up-and-coming players aged 8-18 as well as a Heroes programme for anyone aged 18 and over who has a passion for cricket.
On what is important to Maiden Cricket, one of their founders Honor Black, said: “at Maiden, we firmly believe that cricket is for everyone and our mission has always been to create a more inclusive game and make a real difference for players of all levels.”
Maiden Cricket currently aims to have over 300 ambassadors by the end of 2026 as women’s cricket continues to grow and develop throughout the UK and the rest of the world.
