Scottish First For Harrison Holidays
Harrison Holidays has announced the acquisition of Crofthead Holiday Park in Ayrshire, making this the family-owned business’s 10th site and its first in Scotland.
The Preston based organisation has been operating since 1974, but in recent years has seen significant expansion of its portfolio with the addition of several new holiday parks across the country.
Rural Crofthead Holiday Park, at 85 acres, features both countryside and nearby coastline with beach views across the Firth of Clyde to the Island of Arran, just two miles away.
There are 50 luxury lodges and static caravans for holidaymakers to book and 25 pitches for those touring the area with their own caravan or tent.
The Scottish Thistle Awarded lodges offer two, three and four bed options and come with hot tubs and stunning countryside views along with a coffee bar, shop, adventure playground and crazy golf.
In 2023 the company acquired Cakes & Ale Holiday Park in Suffolk and Rawcliffe Hall Holiday Park in Blackpool the year before. Throughout this period it has also been overseeing significant leisure developments to its Wild
Rose Holiday Park in Cumbria.
William Harrison, a Director with Harrison Holidays, said: “Crofthead Holiday Park is in an incredible location that takes in Aryshire’s stunning coastline and scenic countryside. Not only that, but its family focus is in keeping with the values of our own business, making this the perfect match.”
Harrison Holidays was founded in 1974 by George Harrison and continues to be run by his sons George, William and Robert. From its Preston headquarters the company manages 10 holiday parks across country and coastal locations.
