Silver Screen Weekly - What's Coming Up At The Cinema From Friday 13th September

Our film critic and media correspondent has been looking and trawling the new releases. Here's what you can see on the big screen this week.

From Friday 13th September

The Critic (15)

Ian McKellen stars in this drama thriller based on Anthony Quinn's 2015 novel Curtain Call, as an actress in 1930s London finds herself in a dark situation involving theatre critic and paper editor Jimmy Erskine (McKellen). Featuring a high calibre cast that includes Gemma Arterton, Mark Strong and Lesley Manville, The Critic is a stirring period drama thriller and one you'll want to see on the big screen, as it takes this story of power and corruption from page to screen.
