TIER Mobility Launches Industry-first Public Consultation In Collaboration With The City Of York

TIER, Europe's largest micro-mobility company, has today announced the launch of a public consultation in an industry-first, giving York residents the opportunity to submit their views as TIER's e-scooter trial in the city continues.

As part of the consultation, participants will be able to use an interactive map to share comments and add images about parking, user behaviour and rider experience of the York e-scooter trial.

The feedback will be shared with City of York Council to inform the future development of micro-mobility in the city, ensuring that both users and non-users in the local community are able to voice their needs and help inform decisions that will impact the service.

Alongside the consultation, TIER will also be running an in-person session with Jessica Hall, York's City Manager, and Sight Loss Councils in the new year. The session will discuss parking and incidents of pavement riding to help TIER understand how they can further mitigate any negative impacts from micro-mobility use on visually impaired people in the community.

"With the trial running until at least March 2022, this consultation will help TIER continue to provide a safe, sustainable and inclusive form of transport as part of the urban mix in York."
