Yorkshire B&B Snatches Top Award

A Yorkshire B&B has been named the UK’s friendliest overnight stay in the AA Hotel & Hospitality Services B&B Awards.

Woodlands Farm is a Grade II listed building located in the peaceful hamlet of Thimbleby on the edge of the North Yorkshire Moors.

And its spacious en suite bedrooms, which are part of a stable and outbuilding conversion, not only caught judges eyes, but so did the warm Yorkshire welcome they received when checking out the Tyke establishment.

In typical Yorkshire fashion, farm owners, Paul and Amy Callin, kept their joy to a minimum.

“We are absolutely chuffed to bits to win this award” they said, “it means an awful lot to us.”

The prestigious annual awards event, now in its 24th year, took place at St. Ermin's Hotel, Westminster.

It seeks to recognise the diversity and originality behind the nation’s most remarkable B&Bs and celebrates those people who dedicate their lives to running them.
