Yorkshire Businesses Prepare To Showcase Regional Craftsmanship At Autumn Fair

More than 35 businesses from across Yorkshire will bring the region's renowned creativity and craftsmanship to Autumn Fair, the UK's largest retail buying show for Home, Gift & Fashion, taking place at the NEC Birmingham from 6–9 September.

Companies from West, North, South and East Yorkshire will unveil new collections across home, gift, fashion and lifestyle as they meet buyers from across the UK and overseas.

Bronte by Moon, based in Guiseley, Leeds, will return to Autumn Fair with an expanded collection of woven accessories across a wide range of fibres, alongside its new 2026 Moon Fashion Accessories collection. Highlights include contemporary throw designs such as Leopard Print, Bricks and Ombre Stripe, alongside classic Gingham, Houndstooth, Gun Club and Check patterns. The company's British Lambswool collection has also expanded, using fully traceable, UK-farmed Romney wool sourced through its ongoing partnership with British Wool. All Bronte by Moon designs are created in-house by teams working from the brand's historic woollen mill in Guiseley, drawing on almost two centuries of British manufacturing expertise.

North Yorkshire-based Twenty Birds will bring its distinctive collection of cards and giftware to the show, with its recognisable modern geometric designs extending beyond the brand's original bird theme to include flowers, cats, dogs and ferrets. Founder and designer Monica Gabb, who has lived in North Yorkshire for 19 years, will unveil new collections at Autumn Fair including Nose to Toes, featuring tactile embossed and foiled cat and dog designs, and a playful new Baked Goods range of die-cut cards inspired by eclairs, baguettes and iced buns. Designed to stand out on the card stand, the new collections combine distinctive formats, tactile finishes and colourful packaging.

The Yorkshire Candle Company will showcase its range of hand-poured candles, wax melts, reed diffusers and room mist sprays, all made in Yorkshire in small batches. Its flagship Yorkshire Inspired collection takes its fragrance cues from the county's landscapes and destinations, including scents inspired by the Yorkshire Dales and North Yorkshire Moors, alongside more unusual favourites such as Dark Roast Coffee, Mandarin & Mimosa and Homegrown Tomatoes. With more than 30 fragrances spanning seasonal and year-round scents, the range combines locally inspired storytelling with vegan-friendly products made using responsibly sourced materials.

Walton & Co brings more than two centuries of textile heritage to Autumn Fair, with a history dating back to 1785. The Yorkshire-based company creates table linens, kitchen textiles, rugs and soft furnishings, with its in-house design team translating emerging trends in colour, fashion and interiors into seasonal collections for the home. Designed in Yorkshire and produced with trusted manufacturing partners, the collections combine contemporary style with functionality and quality, reflecting the company's evolution from a traditional wholesale business into a modern home textiles brand.

Sunflower Creation UK will bring a colourful and characterful collection of handcrafted felt gifts, ornaments and home décor to Autumn Fair. The Yorkshire-based, women-led brand combines contemporary British design with traditional craftsmanship, creating everything from woodland animals and farm favourites to seasonal decorations, nursery décor, keyrings and garlands. Each design is created in Yorkshire and handmade in Nepal by skilled women artisans using natural New Zealand wool and traditional felting techniques. The company works directly with women-led artisan communities to support sustainable employment and preserve traditional skills, while a portion of profits helps fund education for children in Nepal.

Founded in 1935, King Cole brings over 90 years of Yorkshire's proud hand-knitting heritage to Autumn Fair. The family business has remained rooted in Yorkshire throughout its history, moving from Bradford, Keighley, Bingley and Silsden to its current home in Skipton. Today, King Cole is an internationally recognised supplier of hand-knitting yarns and associated products, offering thousands of yarn qualities, colours and patterns across everything from 100% wool to acrylics. The business continues to combine traditional values with product innovation, exporting its collections to knitters and crocheters around the world.

Yorkshire has a long-standing reputation for quality manufacturing, craftsmanship and independent enterprise. Autumn Fair provides the ideal platform for these businesses to showcase their products to retailers looking for something new and distinctive.
Matthew Mein, Event Director of Autumn Fair

Autumn Fair comes at a time when independent retailers are increasingly looking for products with authentic stories and distinctive design. According to the latest Voices of Retail report produced by Spring & Autumn Fair in partnership with Faire, consumers are increasingly choosing independent retailers for their personality, originality and unique product ranges, creating growing demand for innovative brands with strong identities.

For Yorkshire’s exhibitors, the show provides an opportunity to meet buyers from department stores, independent retailers, garden centres, museum shops, online retailers and destination stores, many of whom attend specifically to discover new brands unavailable elsewhere.

Alongside established names, Autumn Fair also provides a platform for emerging businesses launching innovative products and sustainable collections, reinforcing Yorkshire’s reputation as a hub for creative entrepreneurship.

Autumn Fair takes place at the NEC Birmingham from 6–9 September 2026, bringing together over 1,250 exhibitors, more than 500,000 products and in excess of 20,000 buyers for four days of buying, networking and industry insight.
