Mai Mai Steele has joined Sheffield-based software consultancy, The Curve, as chief commercial officer, prompting a recruitment drive for 10 new technical roles. This expansion, planned for completion by 2025-26, follows significant contract wins with UK and international clients. Steele's appointment, bringing two decades of experience scaling UK tech businesses, coincides with The Curve's partnership with a global IT hardware provider, opening potential projects in Europe and the US. The company, founded by brothers Paul and James Ridgway, is seeking tech lead consultants, developers, and QA specialists.

ASC Strengthens Customer Team with Senior Hire
Advanced Supply Chain (ASC), a Reconomy subsidiary, has appointed Karen Gibson as Key Account Director to bolster its strategic customer account team. Gibson, bringing over 30 years of logistics experience from roles at Asda toyou, UPS Supply Chain, and Yodel, will manage relationships with major retailers and consumer brands. Her focus will be on developing pan-European supply chain solutions, leveraging ASC’s German facility to support UK business expansion across the continent.



Managing Partner retires after 40 years
Yorkshire law firm Ramsdens has announced the retirement of Paul Joyce, its managing partner and an employee of the firm for four decades. Joyce joined Ramsdens in 1985, going on to become its youngest partner at age 25 and its managing partner in 1997. Over the past 28 years, Joyce has led the strategic expansion of Ramsdens, taking the company from a single branch with a turnover below £1m to one of Yorkshire’s largest regional law firms, with offices across North and West Yorkshire and total revenues in excess of around £25m.
He also oversaw the firm’s conversion to an LLP and marked its 150th anniversary in 2020. The new executive leadership team will comprise Joint Chief Executives, Lindsey Frith and Lee Townsend, supported by Joanne Coen as Senior Partner and David Bradley as Chairman.

KPMG strengthens local government support
The UK government's English Devolution White Paper has triggered local government restructuring and expanded regional mayoral powers. In response, professional services firm KPMG UK has appointed Amanda Kelly as its new UK Head of Local & Regional Government. Based in Manchester, Kelly will enhance KPMG's support for local and regional leaders. Her role will leverage the firm's regional economic insights and expertise across tax, audit, consulting, and deal advisory services.


IntelliAM Expands Leadership for AI Growth

IntelliAM, a Yorkshire-based AI manufacturing specialist, has appointed Jane Robinson as VP for Business Development. Robinson, with a background in engineering and public sector financial management, will lead global growth initiatives. The company has also named Ian Wild VP of Product and Owain Lewis VP of Data Engineering, strengthening its technical leadership. These appointments support IntelliAM’s strategy to leverage AI and machine learning for enhanced manufacturing productivity and cost reduction. The firm, which operates on the Aquis Stock Exchange, provides solutions to major food and beverage companies, including Muller and Mars, and is underpinned by the engineering consultancy 53 Degrees North.

Tunstall Healthcare Appoints Hindle to Lead UK & Ireland
Tunstall Healthcare, a Yorkshire-based technology provider, has named Mark Hindle Managing Director for the UK and Ireland. Hindle, with over 20 years of healthcare technology experience, will drive integration plans, focusing on independent living for older adults and those with long-term needs. He joins from Orion Health, having held senior roles at Aura Healthcare and Allocate Software. Hindle will lead Tunstall as it transitions to digital services, including the rollout of its Communicall Digital warden call system, ahead of the 2027 analogue switchover. He replaces Stephen Jones, who served as interim Managing Director.
