Pizza Express Opens In Bradford City Centre

Pizza Express has now opened the doors to its home at The Broadway in Bradford, making it amongst the first in the UK to showcase the new ‘test and learn’ brand proposition, which launched earlier this year.

Open from 8 August, the sociable pizzeria’s evolution comes 54 years after the first opening and builds on the original vision of Founder, Peter Boizot, stemming from his simple ethos – to bring people together over great pizza and good times through shared passions – food, drink, music and creativity. A new portrait of Peter will take pride of place in the pizzeria in celebration of the man who first introduced pizza to the UK in 1965.

Having used ‘open kitchens’ since before the term was coined, the new kitchen takes centre-stage at the heart of the pizzeria, bringing the theatre and authenticity of PizzaExpress’ craft to the fore. Surrounded by festoon lighting that highlights the expert pizzaiolos at work as they flare the dough, bar seating and white marble tables dotted around the dining area will create an intimate experience for up to 144 diners. Teal, yellow and rose furnishings compliment the re-design further and make the space even more warm and inviting.

Pizza Express Bradford will open with the pizzeria’s summer menu, which sees three new pizzas join the family. Romana fans will delight at the Fungi di Bosco, though the Roasted Veg & Ricotta pizza will make pizza lovers’ choices even harder. Those lusting for a Leggera will welcome the Vegan Roasted Veg Special, which combines bright summer tastes to create a flavour that’s just right for the season. The pizzeria’s all-new Italian Tomato Dip – which replaces passata on these new additions – promises to take it to the next level.
