Midweek is once again the place to be for sport and Yorkshire, with action from around the county in a multitude of sports to keep you hooked from Monday to Friday.
Tuesday 21st April Skybet Championship: Leicester City v Hull City, 19:45
The championship camping is almost at its close, and this week our pick has potential permutations to both the top and bottom of the league at this vital stage.
If you were to ask anyone for the past couple of seasons who they thought would be fighting relegation out of these two sides, 99 per cent would say Hull. But in their return to the second tier 10 years on from lifting the Premier League title, it is Leicester who find themselves staring down the barrel of relegation and fears of their oblivion as a highly paid and experienced squad flirt with League One.
The Foxes have been woeful in the championship in 2026 and have only managed to pick up three wins since the turn of the year. They are six games without a win, which has helped to leave them second bottom of the Championship.
Their fate seemed all but sealed against fellow relegation-threatened Portsmouth when the two sides met at the weekend. It seemed like a last chance for a sustained survival push with a win, but instead Pompey managed to send Leicester packing by winning 1-0.
A loss-litany of poor performances and a points deduction due to the breaking of financial rules now has the Foxes eight points behind safety.
Hull have a real chance to extend their stay in the top six with a win, as the Tigers are currently hanging onto sixth spot on 69 points and a two-point gap to Wrexham in seventh.
Despite their healthy league position, the Tigers’ form has been far from top-six worthy recently, with just one win in their last five and currently four matches without victory. There has only been a single loss through that run to Sheffield United, with three draws making up the rest.
Their last fixture was a 1-1 home draw to Birmingham in a match that saw Hull squander an early lead. The Tigers will be hoping that pattern does not continue and that they can refrain from losing their grip on the top six. With the prospect of also relegating Leicester, this match could be extremely important for the fortunes of both clubs.

Wednesday 22nd April Premier League: AFC Bournemouth v Leeds United 20:00
Leeds has the chance to take themselves further away from the prospect of a return to the Championship with a Wednesday win over Europe-chasing Bournemouth.
The Whites have taken huge steps to separate themselves from the bottom three over the past week, with back-to-back wins for the first time this season. The first was a history-making result at their fiercest rivals Manchester United, where Leeds recorded a first league win at Old Trafford since 1981.
Star of the show was Noah Okafor, who scored a brace at the Stretford end and followed it up with another goal at Elland Road at the weekend in a 3-0 demolition of bottom side Wolves.
Those results have them now eight points clear of the drop zone on 39 points, a tally that has never seen a side relegated at this stage of the season.
They will be hoping to all but secure their Premier League status with a win over Bournemouth, a side in good form and with an outside shot of making it into European football next season.
The Cherries are in eighth on 48 points, level with Chelsea, who occupy the Europa League spot. It was vital for them to get a result at St James’ Park at the weekend, which they accomplished with a 2-1 scoreline. With manager Andoni Iraola on his way out at the end of the season, Bournemouth will be hoping to send him out in style with an unprecedented European finish for a side that has had to rise through the football league.
There is so much on the line for both sides, and they will know that a win could see their season’s goals come to life. There could be the chance for rotation too for Leeds, who will have one eye on their FA Cup semi-final next week against Chelsea.

Thursday 23rd April BetMGM Premier League: Luke Humphries v Luke Littler 20:40
The heat is rising exponentially in the Darts Premier League, and no matches bring more fire than a meeting of the Lukes. A battle between two darting mavericks at the top of the game.
Things are seemingly going better for one than the other in this year's competition, as Luke Littler finds himself second in the league, whereas Humphries is looking to find a way into the top four.
Littler has not found proceedings going swimmingly as of late; however, as many pointed out last week, he seems to be getting the rough end of the crowd and has recently dropped out of pole position behind Clayton, who beat him 6-4 in the final on night 11.
Along the way to that final thought, he met Humphries, who had just completed a deceptively hard-fought quarter-final 6-2 over Gian van Veen. His tournament was to end against his old enemy with the Nuke as the reigning world champion. The Nuke got the best of reigning Premier League champion Cool Hand in a dramatic 6-5 affair which saw Humphries fight back from being 5-2 down.
That fight back was to no avail and has left Humphries three points away from the playoffs. Littler's final defeat to Clayton saw the Welshman open the gap to Littler to five points.
Both have the chance to make early headway this week as a rematch of the semi-final and many finals before could be decisive in the momentum of both as we enter the late stages of the competition.

Friday 24th April Betfred Super League: Castleford Tigers v Hull FC 20:00
We finish midweek with a trip to the Super League and Wheldon Road as Castleford Tigers welcome Hull FC for a Yorkshire derby.
Castleford were rooted to the bottom of Super League with just two wins until the weekend when they emerged victorious at Wigan. No one was expecting Cas to get anything from a trip across the Pennines, but a flurry of tries in the second half saw the Tigers win 24-14 and finally move themselves off the foot of Super League.
That victory means two wins in their past three games, which is unprecedented for a Tigers side that has failed in finding consistency for a couple of years.
They still find themselves towards the bottom in 11th place, but with more confidence building around the club, Ryan Carr’s men will be hoping this is a signal of things to come.
Looking to extinguish this hope is a Hull FC side that sits two places above Castleford but only on points difference.
The Black and Whites have had a mixed season with also just three wins. Things were looking positive for them at the start of the season as they started the campaign with back-to-back Challenge Cup and Super League wins.
After that it was four losses in a row before again back-to-back victories in the Super League over Leeds and Catalans, but the losses have come creeping back with a bitter derby loss to Hull KR in rivals' round and a 24-14 defeat to St Helens at the weekend.
No doubt both will be hoping to pick up more confidence through a good performance and victory, and with the gap becoming bigger to the top six, time is becoming of the essence if they are to not be a part of the disconnected pack away from the playoffs.
