What is the funniest feedback you have received for the single?

When I sang at the Royal Albert Hall supporting Tori Amos, the manager of "Torture Garden" (the world's leading fetish club) was in the audience. She messaged me after to tell me she loved the song and has been playing it in the very club it's about.

What is the worst feedback you received?

Someone sade it made them "vom", but that could be a good thing depending which way you look at it.

What is the funniest feedback you have received for the single?

The funniest feedback has to have stemmed from the video; one of the kids in it has prosthetic make-up that looks a bit like a savoy cabbage, which received a lot of comment! Who'd have thought a vegetable could be such a scene-stealer?

What is the worst feedback you received?

I try not to dwell on the bad feedback, though there hasn't been much. It generally seemed to come from people misunderstanding where I was heading with the song, which is fair enough.

Well, I like it! It's up to us to keep making even better music from here now.

A YouTube troll said it was "very gay". A very insightful and worthwhile comment!

What are your own thoughts...

It's one of my favourites to play live. My backing vocalists Sophie and Milly and I always say we find it really empowering as the kick is so unforgiving and the piano stabs really make us want to dance.

Worst feedback was when someone wouldn't review the song 'cos they found it too sad.

What are your own thoughts on the song?

We're really happy with the simple beauty and honesty of the song. Andy Schrav's piano is so sympathetic to the voice and the lyrics are starkly honest.
