Impact Wrestling Returned To The North Of England

IMPACT Wrestling returned to the North of England for their major shows in the UK for the first time in nearly eight years.

The event in Newcastle saw TURNING POINT recorded, in what was a filled to capacity venue, with a great atmosphere throughout the event.

There was still 30 minutes to go and already there was a real buzz throughout, with a lot of excitement and those in attendance were certainly not left disappointed.

The company who will revert back to their old TNA Wrestling name next year, pulled out all the stops to entertain.

The night started with the ever-popular Grado teaming up with Rhino against two local talents, while Leon Slater who has really impressed and since signed a long-term deal with the company had to put his North Wrestling Championship title on the line against veteran Mark Haskins.

There was a big reaction for Eric Young who teamed with Josh Alexander against Subculture’s Mark Andrews and Flash Morgan Webster, while Gisele Shaw took on RevPro Undisputed British Women’s Champion Alex Windsor.

Trey Miguel and Rich Swann faced off in a one-on-one bout, with Dani Luna taking on Jordynne Grace ahead of Grace's title match at Hard To Kill in January next year.

There was plenty of singing during Joe Hendry's entrance as he took on YouTube star Simon Miller, before Moose and Brian Myers faced the X-Division champion Chris Sabin and Frankie Kazarian.

The Knockouts Championship was on the line with Trinity facing Deonna Purrazzo with IMPACT Wrestling Hall of Famer Gail Kim as the special ref.

The main event saw Will Ospreay go up against Eddie Edwards in another entertaining bout.


There were also shows taped in Glasgow and Coventry, while a date in Yorkshire was not on the cards this time round, with the likes of Leeds and Sheffield as options, hopefully they will be back after this successful tour.
